Welcome to mountains, waterfalls, lakes and rivers, foothills, prairies, beaches ... big cities, small towns, rural communities, ranches, farms and orchards and miles of wilderness ... to the midnight sun, northern lights, big blue skies, billowing clouds, thunder storms, spectacular sunsets and rainbows ... to fresh water and deep sea fishing, wildlife beside the road, whale watching, birding, heritage sites, geological wonders ... and miles and miles of Open Road!
Welcome to our parks - enormous, awesome parks - like Yellowstone, Banff and Jasper, Denali, Wood Buffalo, Grasslands and Craters of the Moon. We have state, provincial and territorial parks - some with full hook-up facilities, some more geared to dry camping, some for day-use only. We also have numerous regional, private, forestry and recreation area campgrounds. There are lots of places to stay when it comes time to pull off the road.
Region 8 encompasses by far the largest geographic area of Roadtrek International's domain. It extends the farthest north and west and is the only region that includes both nations, so remember to bring your passport when you come to visit. Drive the Alaska Highway from Fort St. John, BC to Delta Junction, AK, the Fraser Canyon which takes you past Hell's Gate into BC's Cariboo region, the highway along the beautiful Oregon Coast, the Icefields Parkway through the Canadian Rockies, the Beartooth Highway into Yellowstone Park that takes you to 10,000 feet, the breath-taking (literally) Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier National Park, the spectacular Columbia River Gorge, the hard-packed beaches in Washington that are part of their highway system, the secondary roads through rolling prairie - all special and unique - and the major highways if you must.
Opportunities to explore and enjoy are endless. Please, come pay us a visit and plan to stay awhile.
